In 20xx UMG worked with a landscape architect to plan and implement a new pocket park at the point where Western and Madison Avenues come together. Now known as DeWitt Clinton Park, the park highlights the architecture of Center Station, the granite monument to Albanians who served in World War II, and the important history made here when the first steam-powered passenger train in New York state, and one of the first in the country, departed from Albany bound for Schenectady, pulled by the DeWitt Clinton locomotive. UMG added newly designed landscaping, architectural lighting and restored the WWII monument.
