Enjoy live music on the Elks Lodge #49 lawn at 25 S. Allen Street on Summer Mondays! These intimate, family-friendly concerts create the perfect setting for relaxation and community connection. Held in July and August, neighbors come together to enjoy music of a variety of genres in a welcoming atmosphere.
Monday night music is co-sponsored by Upper Madison Group and the Pine Hills Neighborhood Association.
What you need to know:
- All concerts start at 7:00 PM and last about an hour.
- Children absolutely welcome!
- Bring your own lawn chair or blanket or find a spot at the picnic tables.
- Rain or shine – if it rains we move inside the Elks building to the Jolly Cork Lounge.
- Bring your wallet for hotdogs, hamburgers, snacks and soft drinks offered by the Elks , and to purchase 50/50 tickets – proceeds from the 50/50 are used to keep this series going!

July 27 – Swing Docs
Cure the blues or whatever’s ailing you with music from The Swing Docs. These talented musicians have the prescription for entertainment as they deliver a dose of big band, swing, Latin, and rock. Make no bones about it — this group has thrilled audiences at some of the Capital District’s top venues!
August 3 – Hammerhead Trio
The Hammerheads have thrilled audiences from the Hudson Valley to the Adirondacks since 2021, performing an engaging blend of Roots, Ragtime, Boogie Woogie and Blues.

Featuring Rooftop Park, Sabrina Trueheart, and Josh Breden

Sabrina Trueheart has always lived between a thousand dreams. Hailing from New Haven, Connecticut, she cut her teeth studying jazz guitar and performing folk songs in her home city’s coffeehouses. Now, based in New York’s Hudson Valley, her sound has evolved into something entirely her own: a kaleidoscope of 60’s/70’s-inspired psychedelic folk, slow-burning grooves, and nylon string guitar melodies that bloom in real time. Josh Breden is a musician from Albany, NY, performing acoustic rock songs. He released his comeback album “Unfinished Business” in 2024, and his new album “Patience, Child” in 2026. Recent sets at the Glens Falls Brewfest, and local pubs have shown his ever-expanding repertoire and reverence for the classics. August 17 – Gadjo
Gypsy/Swing band playing tunes from the American Songbook of the 1930’s 40’s and 50’s in the infectious style of Django Reinhardt, and Stephane Grappelli. Songs will provide a glimpse into the musical tastes of previous generations, while inspiring modern listeners of all ages to dance, sing, smile, tap their feet, and clap their hands. Band members include John Whitbread on guitar and vocals, Steven Horowitz on trumpet, David Ray on violin, Larry Stallman on upright bass, and Stephen Stringer on drums.
